CTC at a glance
Since its inception in 1996, our Montreal-based translation agency has built a solid reputation. In nearly two decades of operation, CTC has :
- served more than 1,000 clients ;
- translated more than 10,000 documents: promotional flyers, information leaflets, sales brochures, instructions for use, technical manuals, corporate policy documents, web sites, and documents for governments, not-for-profit organizations, and charities ;
- adapted advertising content, slogans, corporate signatures, product names, newspaper articles, and advertorials ;
- edited, corrected, and optimized millions of words in wide-ranging fields, including advertising, marketing, human resources, financial and economic sectors, and the environment.
CTC Translation in Montreal currently has APPROXIMATELY 150 active clients, mainly small and medium-sized businesses and major companies. While most of our clients are based in Quebec or in the rest of Canada, we also translate content for major companies in the United States and Europe, including GMCR, VINCI, and Eurovia.
One of our distinctive trademarks is our ability to create longstanding business relationships with our clients.
« In Canada, many companies – including Nestlé Waters, L’Oréal, Philips and Rogers – have been putting their trust in us for the last 10 or 15 years. »
Thanks to our experience, quick turnaround, and wordsmithing skills, we have become their choice partner for translation, adaptation, and editing needs.
An experienced team of translators
Éric Plante is the co-founder and director of CTC Translation. He is a highly experienced translator and editor. In addition to more than 20 years of work experience, he is a seasoned communication specialist with a keen interest in financial and economic matters and vast knowledge of the business world.
In our field, understanding how business works and how companies operate is a differentiating asset. It’s what allows us to understand and appreciate source documents, even when they’re not drafted by professional writers.
Companies use our services because we understand the content they provide to us, which is the first requirement for successful translation. (And no, this ability to understand content isn’t widespread in the translation community)
Éric Plante’s right-hand man at CTC is Patrick Bezeau, Translator and Chief Coordinator. Patrick is a graduate of the translation program at Université de Montréal. In addition to his linguistic and translation skills, he has extensive customer service experience. He is CTC’s point person for our many clients and suppliers. Every day, Éric Plante, Patrick Bezeau, and CTC’s team of 30 translators respond to requests from a wide range of industries.
At CTC, we entrust the right document to the right person. For instance, your advertising copy is handled by the writers and translators with the most flair and not by our accounting or insurance specialists. Similarly, your legal documents are handled by legal experts and legal translation specialists and not by botany or music specialists (yes, we have those, too!)
As a result, whatever the nature of your content (general or technical), it’s always managed by the right person with the right skill set.

Added value: the client experience
CTC would like to be your business partner and not just a service provider. Courtesy, openness, and amiability are part of the way we do business. They transform a run-of-the-mill client-supplier interaction into an attentive and enthusiastic business relationship for the long term.
